Palacial Luxury

Hotel de Vendome is located in the heart of Paris and is surrounded by the city’s finest shops, art galleries and world-renowned houses of fashion. This 29-room gem offers all of the style and comfort of a small private palace. The interiors are especially inviting. The use of color, fresh flowers and marble throughout creates the atmosphere of a fine private residence (which it was when built in 1723). The Vendome’s recent refurbishment has been widely praised by locals and guests alike. It provides perhaps the perfect combination of traditional luxury and high tech necessities for the modern traveller.

Rich History & Opulent Decor

The building was originally created as an elegant private residence for Pierre Perrin, secretary to King Louis XIV (1723).
In 1736, it became the property of Jean de Bataille, Sieur de Frances, and then in 1788 became the property of the crown. Between 1842-1843 it housed the Embassy of the Republic of Texas, whose independence was first recognized by France.
The ‘1 Vendome’ first became a furnished hotel in 1858.
More recently, the Mouawad family (owners of the Grand Hotel Du Cap-Ferrat) completed a thoughtful refurbishment bringing Hotel de Vendome’s amenities up to date while maintaining its elegant regal character.

The Hotel’s furnishings have been drawn from around the world. The Hotel is adorned with marble, mosaics, period stained glass, fine fabrics and fine antique furniture. The decor and style of the hotel create a very refined, sophisticated atmosphere that will be appreciated by discerning travellers.

Grand Gourmet & English-Style Bar

The Café de Vendome provides a warm and elegant atmosphere for dining. The room has grand picture windows with breathtaking views of the city. The restaurant is managed by Philippe Langlors. Some may remember him from his accomplishments at ‘Ambassadeurs’ at Hotel de Crillon or the Ritz in Paris.
The chef, Gerard Salle, is also well known among Parisian gourmets for his classic light dishes and innovative flavor combinations. He was formerly at Fouquet’s in Paris, and Normandy in Deauville. There is also a gastronomic Lebanese Restaurant called ´Les Perles de Vendome´.

The English Bar on the first floor can accommodate up to 25 people and opens onto the elegant ‘Place Vendome’.

Non-Pareil Guestroom Appointments

There are 29 spacious guestrooms at the Hotel de Vendome. Five are expansive one bedroom suites. The Presidential Suite has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a lounge with a terrace. The views of Paris are quite remarkable. Guestrooms have all of the amenities one would expect from a fine hotel:
air conditioning, television, voice mail, safes, radio, hair dryer, 24-hour room service and a mini bar. There is also “same-day” laundry and dry cleaning service available. Every room is also equipped with a videophone and access to the Internet.

The hotel is only 12 miles from Orly Airport and 20 miles from Roissy/Charles de Gaulle International Airport. The Hotel is conveniently located in the fashionable Right Bank Arondismont No.1. It is literally a ‘stone’s throw’ from the Opera House,
